Research and Development of the DES-CONTROLler®
In 1991, in the Medical University of Lübeck, we found a strong partner with whom we were able to tackle the “Development of Innovative Test Methods” project. The aim was to replace the very unsafe, open germ carriers with safer, closed bioindicators. We successfully completed years of research in 1994 and the end product was a closed bioindicator: The DES-CONTROLler®.
MEDUCOMP in transition
MEDUCOMP GmbH celebrates 30 years of existence and, with many years of experience as a hygiene company, is an expert in the field of disinfection testing. The company was founded in 1989. Initially, MEDUCOMP was primarily concerned with software solutions and developments for hospitals and medical practices. The main focus here was on accounting and organization programs for hospital chains. Through the understanding and expertise that we have gained through this process, we also got involved in the subject of disinfection testing, which at the time required a lot of research.
